While most of us are pretty much ready for Christmas and are excited to spend time with family and loved ones, there are also people who are in the opposite situation. I am talking about many soldiers who will not be able to spend time with their families because they are stationed overseas serving our country both in Iraq and Afghanistan and will be away from their family on this very important time of everyone’s live. Christmas as we know is time to be with loved ones celebrating together the birth of the Savior. Isn’t it sad that they will celebrate it away from one another? Do you know that Sears is trying to make the Holidays a little easier for our military? And that is the reason why they started the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry. The registry’s purpose is to fulfill holiday wishes for 30,583 military families. They want to help make families feel better this holiday despite of being without their families. Sears is kind enough to once again established Heroes at Home programs to give support and provide for military service members, veterans and their families through joint efforts with various non-profit organizations; and this year they expanded this effort by enabling Americans to give thanks and fulfill the wishes of military heroes and their families for the sacrifices they make for us and our country. Donations are needed and if you want to donate, just go to their website or visit their store and make donations. This one way we can show how much we appreciate the services they are doing for us. And on by the way, all donations are not tax deductible.
