My family and I loves to eat, that is why I make sure that the foods I serve them are healthy and safe to eat. One thing I learned from my mother growing up is food safety. I watched her washing the fruits, vegetables , sea foods and even meat many times before cooking or serving them to us. We hardly eat processed foods as well as canned foods. The foods we eat everyday are fresh from the market, and so seldom we use oil when cooking. I am so glad she taught me that very important thing. My husband is used to eating processed and canned foods, so when we got married I started serving him healthy foods and he likes it. I love my family and I will do everything to keep them healthy. Anyway, have you heard about the Grocery Manufacturers Association was in the process of outlining ways to increase food safety? Yes, you heard me right! Companies and people are now focusing their time on the safety and security of the foods that we eat. Organic foods are safe to eat, but the price is higher than non-organic foods. So it is really good to know that companies are showing people that they really care by releasing three new initiatives that improve food safety standards in the US and are outlined in Prevention, Partnership and Planning: Supply Chain Initiatives to Improve Food Safety. I am also glad that they are also working on the product recalls, modernization as well as improving them. Good manufacturing practices are also being carried out.
